Though they can be handy for drawing the zombies to them so you can sneak away. My sole purpose for having this mod is to have the late-game challenge of raiders armed with guns and friendly NPC's for corpse disposal lol. The pile corpses feature is life changing, even if you don't use the mod for anything else.

There's a superb survivors mod, but it's janky as hell. As far as I know, it's the only mod that implements NPCs at any capacity. One of the best ones I’ve ever seen was called “SubparSuperiorSurvivors”.
