Jun 4, 2020 · I visit your forum and I must say it is great. Two years ago I fulfilled my dream and bought a new Durango RT AWD. From the very beginning the car has a problem with a warm start. When Durango tries to start with a warm engine after about 1.5 - 2 hours of standing, it does not want to start. The diagnostics do not show any fault. 2016 Durango crank no start. Flawless for 6 years, then suddenly it won't start....sometimes. I've gotten stuck and towed 3 times. Mechanic put in a new fuel pump. Nope, that did not work. It starts up fine about 80% of the time now. So our 2015 Durango will not start. The last 2 days I have been looking up what might be wrong with it. Thought it might have been the fuel pump relay or issues with the TIPM. I went and tested the TIPM and that wasn’t the issue as well as ran a few other tests to see why the engine is not firing. Repop pumps, like sensors and thermostats, aren't very good. Try priming it by pressing the start button with no brake for a few seconds. Then if it starts with the brake / Start button then it's the fuel pump not holding it's pressure.

I got it to start and run for about 3 seconds but then it turned itself off. I found a way to start it on this site by putting it to run mode and then starting it, that works okay but if I paid 27k for a car it needs to work as intended. This also leads me to think if it has problems now what's gonna happen 5 years down the road.
