The reason BotW doesn’t have three is twofold: With the “multiple autosave + one manual” system, it would be very hard to organize with three separate playthroughs. Every switch profile gets its own set of saves, so you can treat the different profiles as the different save-slots like prior games (except you can have far more than three).

It sucks if you want to replay the game without creating a separate Switch profile just for that purpose.
